Dr Mark Fenton [1965-2003] was a licensed psychotherapist operating a small practice in the midwest until some time in the late 90s when he became increasingly interested in the esoteric. It seems that the internet played a role in the development of this interest, as digital communication allowed him to share his theories with others while also building a like-minded community. Posting as DocDreamGhost in Usenet forums such as alt.mind.astralprojection and alt.weird.timetravel, he developed a theory that he called temporospatial astral projection.

As we’ve established here here and here physical distances are no issue for the untethered astral form. When you’re OOB [‘OOB’=out of body — Ed] you can fly like Peter Pan but you can also simply will yourself to be in another place. Last night I tried to focus hard on the Lincoln Monument and next thing I knew I was there flying around the tip looking down on the city below. I recommend this exercise. Maybe if we all choose a time and date we can meet up and see if our astral forms are mutually observable?

Forgive any typos. I just flew in from the peak of Everest and boy are my arms tired! :D

In under a month I have developed complete mastery over spatial relocation in astral forms. It is surprisingly easy, just vizualize a location and your dream-self will be there. The hardest part is visualization — I’ve found that I need to study my destinations in detail, or else I can’t find my way there. I believe this may be a result of a quantum process such as entaglement but this will require more research. As always pls contact me with theories or ideas.

Last night I had a thought while considering the nature of this universe. Space-time is a single fabric, a single stuff, right? This is what I believe Einstein said anyway. So what if we can use this technqieu to go back? Can we imagine the past and find ourselves back there?

Friends, I promised I would stop talking about this until I did it. Last night, I did it. I figured out the trick. Its simple.you must know where you are going. You must see it clear as a photograph;.

I picked the Kennedy assassination. Not because I want to stop it but because I have seen it so many times. we have all seen the zapruder film right? We all know the car, the dress Jackie wore, the people in the crowd. If you concentrate right now, I bet you can see it. Just to be sure, I watched that film over and over again, just concentrating on the details, making it feel alive.

When I went OOB last night I concentrated as hard as i could and then i was back there, floating around in dallas. looking at JFK — alive! I gotta say, he was a handsome man and Jackie was baeutiful too.

Of course, I could no0oot intervene in astral form. I could not even really see what happened. There was a bang, then another, then he died. I didn’t see who shot him.

I’ve been goig backi to that place ecvery night for months now and i am so tired. As hardEye39 says, maybe I should spend a night a sleep in my own bed hahaha

But it drives me crazy even in waking hours. I can’t move or see or intervene with anything that happens. Just bang and the president’s dead. Every time, the trusth is a little out of my reacyh. It is furstrating, to be a ghost, unable to stop this terrible thing that’s happening.

Totally agree, Letitia. Very concerning.

This is a really interesting concept. Can you email me?

Folks, I did it. I am talking to you from the future. Not far in the future.I’m visiting here from tomorrow.

Where I’ve been going wrong is that you can’t just return to any random moment in the past. It has to be a time and place you recall vividly. You must be able to see it as if you were there.

I spent all day yesterday meditating and focusing on my surroundings. I created a kind of docking station for myself — a perfectly recallable, photographic memory. When I went OOB last night (or rather, tomorrow night), I focused on returning back to the docking station and found myself floating above my own head.

And here is the amazing part — I could re-enter my own body. I am alive, awake and corporeal, 24 hours in the past.

> Did you bring back lottery numbers? Any news on the peace talks?

Haha no. I am afraid I didn’t look at the news or internet all day yesterday. I was focused on my exercise. I can tell you that we don’t get another attack tonight. Or at least, my house isn’t attacked.

I’m going to leave this body now and return back to my “real” time. I don’t know what will happen to this body when I vacate. Hopefully, i’ll just wake up with nothing more than a mild headache and a little confusion.

I’ve come back again. From further in the future. Next year is not looking good, folks. Don’t want to say too much. Things are going to get really bad.

Weird question: does anyone have any contacts in Washington.

DocDreamGhost <dreamghost@thewell.net> 06/01/1997 16:03

This seems to be the only place I can go back to. My other memories are not vivid enough. If anyone thinks they can travel back further than 1997, please get in touch immediately. I will teach you my techniques. We need to get a message to the authorities so stop this thing before it gets out of hand. I think we need to return to at least the early 80s. Please, please, if you have a vivid photographic memory of life from 1982 or earlier. Get in touch. This is urgent. The memory has to be perfect.

This is maybe my 20 or 30th time back in 1997 now. I keep failing. I am sorry. I am sorry to all of you. My head hurts so bad. I feel like i may not have another trip left in me. i am attaching a doc with all of my notes to date. I don’t have time to add more. I beg you, if one of you can go back further, you can stop what’s going to happen next year. I’m going to make one more effort to speak to the authorities and get help.

Hey those files didn’t attach. Can you share again? Or email to me and I can post on my site.

David Logan, author of the final message presented here, is a physics researcher at Stanford. He claims to have not received a response to his message, and does not have copies of the missing files.

Fenton was discovered in a catatonic state at his desk shortly after the final message was sent. An examination found slightly elevated blood pressure but no obvious medical explanation for his condition. He remained in hospital, entirely unresponsive to stimulus, until he contracted pneumonia and died in 2003.

These messages gave rise to an early internet meme, with multiple anonymous posters claiming to offer the true story of what happened in the alternative 1998 that Dr Fenton was trying warn us about. These texts describe far-fetched scenarios, including alien invasion, nuclear war, a bio-engineered virus, and rogue AI. They also offer differing accounts on how the past was changed — some claim that Fenton found another way to travel back, while others claim that they applied his techniques to return to an earlier time.

None of these accounts have ever been verified.
